There was a lot of interest on the original post I did for multi-ways to wear a maxi skirt, so I decided to get a little creative and turn it into a fun video for you all. I mentioned that this skirt is great when traveling light but not until I was putting together the outfits for the video did I realize how great it really is! You can create (at least) 6 completely different looks with just a handful of items.
On a side note, I feel like I’ve been MIA from the blog lately, but the plan is to get back on the bandwagon next week. Things have been extremely busy the last month, so I’m taking a break and ending work a little early today to head to LA to celebrate my 30th birthday with some of my favorites. I promise to come back refreshed and with a bunch of new content (and a little older…)! Happy Friday!
This DIY video shows you an easy way to add some color to an inexpensive pair of sunglasses. The best part is I have curated a kit so that you can easily replicate this craft at home, buy it here.
Are you all interested in more kits like this? If so, please leave a comment and let me know!
I pretty much live in maxi shirts during the summer; they keep you looking stylish even in the heat. My go-to outfit is pairing it with a tank top and statement necklace. These skirts are so versatile, which make them a perfect piece when traveling light. Here are some other options on how to wear a maxi skirt for different occasions:
Ladies, who can resist a guy in a suit, especially one in a tux? Maybe its Justin Timberlake bringing the classic back with his Suit & Tie song, the rise of the folk rock hipster artists like Mumford & Sons or inspiration from The Great Gatsby movie but the bow tie seems to be making a major comeback. This week’s video I’ll show you how master tying a bow tie on your significant other.
Gentlemen, finally a tutorial for you! Check out the second half of the video and learn how to tie the bow tie on yourself.
Leave a comment and let me know how your bow tie turns out.
I’ve gotten a lot of requests for more style features, so here you go!
I’m currently obsessing over the Chambray shirt. This All-American classic is a staple in my closet and can be mixed into any style. Go classic like Ashley Olsen did by just tucking it into black skinny jeans or more edgy by layering it underneath a vest and pairing it with chunky gold jewelry. I also love wearing this shirt as a jacket, its light weight and perfect for those summer nights.
Thank you pinterest for the hair inspiration this weekend.
1. Divide hair into 4 sections, separating the front from the back on either side.
2. Braid each section starting, 4 braids total. Note: the braid that will be across the top, start the braid higher up, closer to the roots.
3. Pull the end of one braid to the beginning of the next braid, going in the same direction all around the head
4. Bobby pin the end of each braid into the start of the braid beside it. Be sure to hide those bobby pins so that it looks like one braid all the way around!!

It’s happens every couple of months, I get obsessed with a particular color and want to incorporate it into everything from my wardrobe to my home decor. Right now I can’t get enough of Cobalt Blue (probably influenced from the high I still have from the royal wedding and that my sister is studying abroad this summer in Greece). For a few weeks I have been searching for a blue dress within budget, yet to find one but Reese Witherspoon and Eva Mendes (both in Stella McCartney) and Emma Roberts (in Michael Kors) make stunning appearances in theirs. I was able to get a quick fix when I got a pedicure this weekend and found the OPI color Dating A Royal (immediately ran to the beauty supply store afterwards to make sure I had the color for home). While on my search for a dress, accessories are acting as a quick fix. I picked up the shoes below from H&M for only $34.95!
