DIY Dreamcatcher

This might be my most favorite craft I have ever made! After I finished the video, I actually ended up adding more of the lace ribbon pieces, plus a couple of gold beads and feathers which you can see in the photos below. I really like the extra volume and texture they added. This dreamcatcher is going to fit in perfectly with my friend’s boho chic nursery decor.

How to Make a Tassel

If you are looking for a craft to fill your Sunday, then look no further. I never realized how easy it was to make a tassel. I wish I attempted this craft sooner, but it is probably good I didn’t otherwise everything in my house would be covered in them! The possibilities are endless; try adding a few to accent a pillow in your home or tying one to a bracelet for extra charm. Oh, and remember that tassel necklace I made a while ago? Use this tutorial in combination with that one for even more DIY happiness.

DIY Burlap American Flag

First off, I can’t believe it is already July! Where is this year going? I seem to be short on time these days: juggling a full time job, trying to keep the blog going and just blocking and tackling everything else life is throwing at me. All things consider I still find so much joy in crafting, even in the simplest of things. I don’t think this burlap flag craft could be any simpler. Burlap is one of my favorite materials to work with and it is so inexpensive!

Happy birthday, America!

DIY: Flower Crown

My style isn’t super girly, but there is just something about flower crowns that I love. Maybe it is the carefree vibe they give off? I think if it was acceptable I would rock it more often than not. Whether you are in a wedding or heading to a music festival check the video for all the details on how to make your own.

By the way, I love the idea of doing a flower crown bar at a bridal or baby shower. It’s a great activity that your guests can really engage in and the crown serves as your party favor! My suggestion would be to make the actual crowns ahead of time with the coiled wire, so that all your guests have to do is fill it with flowers.

Materials/Tools:

  • Floral Coiled Wire
  • Floral Wire
  • Floral Tape
  • Pilers
  • Flowers

DIY: Chevron Painted Desk

I have to be honest…things have been so incredibly busy lately that it didn’t leave me much time to prep for this tutorial. I pretty much did the design on the fly. I still think is turned out pretty badass though! Oh, did I mention that I used chalkboard paint so I can easily write down my to-do list right on my desktop!?! Just in case I happen to leave anything out, please feel free to ask questions in the comments below.

What do you do with all those cards you receive throughout the year? Mine just get stored in a box. Do you store them or trash them? I decided to repurpose those cards and create some really special artwork. Learn all the details on how to make your own with this video. P.S. Sorry the music is a little loud!
