If you are looking for a craft to fill your Sunday, then look no further. I never realized how easy it was to make a tassel. I wish I attempted this craft sooner, but it is probably good I didn’t otherwise everything in my house would be covered in them! The possibilities are endless; try adding a few to accent a pillow in your home or tying one to a bracelet for extra charm. Oh, and remember that tassel necklace I made a while ago? Use this tutorial in combination with that one for even more DIY happiness.
First off, I can’t believe it is already July! Where is this year going? I seem to be short on time these days: juggling a full time job, trying to keep the blog going and just blocking and tackling everything else life is throwing at me. All things consider I still find so much joy in crafting, even in the simplest of things. I don’t think this burlap flag craft could be any simpler. Burlap is one of my favorite materials to work with and it is so inexpensive!
Even though it may not feel like it right now (in places other than Arizona), but spring is right around the corner. This means wedding season is about to kickoff! If you are planning a wedding and getting ready to send out your invitations, check out this week’s video for 3 easy ideas on how to add a little style to your envelopes.
Nothing can go wrong with a drink that has both bubbles and whiskey, right? If you are hosting New Year’s Eve your guests will not be disappointed. If you are attending as a guest bring the mixings (shopping list below) and be the life of the party. Check out the video for steps on how to create the perfect New Year’s Eve Cocktail!

The last few videos have been viewer requests and I love it! It makes me happy to fulfill any requests on tutorials you want to see. This one came from Marta who wanted to see unique and creative ways to wrap gifts. As I was thinking through this idea, 3 tips came to mind on what the wrapping should be:
I’m really old school when it comes to thank you notes. I don’t think anything beats getting a letter in the mail. In this week’s tutorial, I’ll teach you how to make personalized stationary. My favorite place to shop for the supplies is Papersource, they have a wide range of blank cards and envelopes in a so many different colors. I would say my personal brand is classic with a touch of edge, so I go for black envelopes and white flat note cards. What’s represents your personal brand?
These delicious cake pops are much easier to make than they look. I promise you no one will have just one. I figured about 4 cake pops equal 1 cupcake, so don’t feel so bad when you go for seconds, or thirds….right!?!
As I mentioned in my DIY nursery art video I have a lot of friends expecting babies before the end of the year and attended the first shower this past weekend. I saw that the mom-to-be posted on Facebook that one of the first things she is going to have after the baby comes is a Moscow Mule. I thought to put together a little care package for her with all the ingredients she would need to make the drink. It’s a super simple idea – just wrap the ingredients in a plastic bag, tie with a ribbon, and make a tag that has the drink recipe on it (I created the tag in a word doc). I know it was a baby shower but the mom-to-be deserves a little something too!
